National Network

All members of the Children and Young People’s Diabetes Networks can now discuss issues relating to diabetes care on a new secure forum for healthcare professionals supporting children and young people with diabetes in England and Wales.

The forum, on the Children and Young People’s Diabetes Network website, is divided into strategic topic areas and professional discussion areas. The strategic topics are:

• Structured Education and Patient Information
• Diabetes Technology
• Events, Conferences and Training
• Innovation and Quality Improvement
• Moving to Adult Services (Transition)

Forum users will be able to start new discussion topics on issues which they want to receive advice, support and insights about from their colleagues or to share their good practice. All users can add their thoughts on topics by replying to posts. Polls can also be conducted.

The Forum will increase networking opportunities across teams and network regions to help improve diabetes care.
