Monitoring

Patients identified with Stage 1 or Stage 2 Type 1 Diabetes should be monitored using a structured  programme led by specialist diabetes services, including periodic HbA1c testing and glucose monitoring, dietetic and psychology support, education regarding hyperglycaemia and DKA, and escalation of monitoring as progression risk increases.
