National Network

Early-Stage T1 Diabetes National Network

The Early-Stage T1D National Network has been established to support the implementation of screening, monitoring, and treatment pathways for early-stage type 1 diabetes across the CYP and adult diabetes healthcare community.

Operating within the wider framework of the CYP National Diabetes Network, the EST1D National Network is led by Dr Fiona Campbell and Dr Renuka Dias.

The Network will work collaboratively with key stakeholders, including NHSE, the BSPED EST1D Special Interest Group and ABCD, to provide opportunities for both CYP and adult diabetes healthcare professionals to contribute to discussions, support the development of guidance, pathways and resources, and facilitate the sharing of knowledge and best practice. The Network will also serve as a central communication hub for the wider diabetes community.

Through partnerships with industry and charitable organisations, the network aims to foster a truly collaborative approach to delivering high-quality early-stage type 1 diabetes services for children, young people, adults and their families.

If you would like to become involved with the EST1D National Network or would like further information, please contact the team using the details below.

Presentation Repository

We are developing a repository of Early-Stage Type 1 Diabetes presentation materials that can be used by healthcare professionals across the country when presenting to colleagues and stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, ICBs, commissioners, and Trust leadership teams.

If you have presentation slides that you would be willing to share, please email them to jenny.foster5@nhs.net, along with a brief description of the audience and context in which they were used. This will help others identify materials that may be relevant to their own local needs.
