UNBIASED - A National Diabetes UK Funded Study / Astudiaeth Genedlaethol a Ariennir gan Diabetes y DU
14/04/2026

We are delighted to share the launch of the results of UNBIASED, a national Diabetes UK funded study , a major milestone in our collective effort to address ongoing inequities in access to diabetes technologies in the UK
As highlighted in the attached flyer, the study demonstrates that despite national guidance, for more than a decade, children from ethnic minority and lower socioeconomic backgrounds are still less likely to access life-changing diabetes technologies, with clear implications for health outcomes. This study, reinforces the collaborative leadership needed in addressing health inequalities in the UK and driving meaningful change in diabetes care.
The resources are freely available here at the official Diabetes UK website
