Enhance your knowledge by doing a paediatric diabetes module with Cardiff University

14/06/2020

All healthcare professionals working in paediatric diabetes, or interested in paediatric diabetes, can expand their expertise by completing an online eight weeks paediatric diabetes module from Cardiff University.

The comprehensive online module is offered on an individual basis or as a part of post-graduate diploma course, which mainly focuses on diabetes in adults. The paediatric diabetes module explores the different types of diabetes, development and evaluation of related strategies for education, nutritional therapy, clinical management and self-management for children and young people with diabetes.

Healthcare professionals who complete the module will be encouraged to apply their learning to everyday practice. This will help to further improve healthcare systems and enable teams to provide even better care for children and young people, and their families.

Cardiff University launched the Paediatric diabetes module in May 2016. The content was developed by Dr Shikha Jain, Consultant Paediatrician at the Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend and Professor John Gregory, Professor in Paediatric Endocrinology & Honorary Consultant at the University Hospital of Wales.

If you are interested in signing up for this module, please email Xenia Williams, the administrative officer through diabetespostgrad@cardiff.ac.uk
